Our external Home Watch Services include:
Need someone to keep an eye on your property and check for signs of unwanted visitors or other potential trouble? We’ll agree on a schedule based on your needs to watch over your property while you’re away. We offer 24-Hour emergency responses to low temp warnings, fire, and burglary alarms, and we’ll check your alarm system regularly for any potential issues and resolve any issues that may come up.
In addition to watching out for potential trouble before it occurs, we also offer standard walkthroughs and perimeter checks to catch any problems that do occur before they become bigger ones. As we are completing our standard services, we’ll double-check for potential water leaks and ensure all water sources are turned off. During the colder months, we’ll check that any external hoses are drained and disconnected.
Whether you’re expecting packages, time-sensitive mail, or just don’t want it piling up on your doorstep, we’ll check your mailbox regularly and bring it indoors. This way you won’t have an overflowing mailbox, letting everyone know there’s no one home or creating the potential for mail to be damaged or stolen.
Do you have fall landscaping winter maintenance tasks scheduled to ensure your property looks good and is well-maintained while you’re away? We can stop in and verify that the services you’ve paid for are being completed properly and to your satisfaction.

No one wants to return to their lake property in the spring to appliances that aren’t working properly. We’ll check your appliances periodically to ensure they are working as expected or that they are unplugged when your home is vacant. We’ll also verify that your breakers are “on” and not tripped while you’re away, so your appliances and systems can function the way you need them to.
Whether your home will sit vacant for a couple of days, weeks, or months at a time, it’s important that your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functioning at all times. We’ll check these (and any additional devices requested) regularly to ensure everything is working properly when you return.
Do you have indoor plants that need watering and sunlight? We’ll make sure your indoor plants are well taken care of during your absence.
Worried about returning to pests, leaks, mold, and other issues in your lake home? We’ll keep an eye out for unwanted pests, leaking faucets, mold development, or other issues, so you can address them before you or your guests come home or to visit.
Do you own a dock on your property? If so, we can handle dock pump installation and perform weekly check-ins to ensure your dock is safe and well-maintained. We’ll check for any potential issues that might come up while you’re gone, so you don’t return to the surprise of a damaged dock.
Even if you live at the lake all year, there are still going to be times when you need to go away for the weekend or for an extended period of time. Worrying about the safety and security of your home is the last thing you want to do while enjoying your time away. By performing minimum weekly checks on your home, we can find any issues that could arise due to seasonal temperature changes or other conditions early, so they can be more easily mitigated.
